2020 Force Works #2

The second chapter of this 2020 Marvel series puts the team's cybernetic edge front and center, with four half-human, glowing-eyed figures — a heavily built male warrior, a woman brandishing a staff across her shoulders, an armored figure with a sleek full-face helmet, and a smaller female crackling with concussive energy — assembled in a tight, imposing formation. The cover art by Juanan Ramírez renders each character with a weathered, battle-worn quality that gives the group a gritty, street-level menace despite their clearly superhuman nature. Matthew Rosenberg's series looks to be pushing into darker territory, and this issue's lineup suggests Force Works has no shortage of firepower to meet whatever comes next.
