2000 AD and Tornado #142

Prog 142 of 2000 AD and Tornado (8 December 1979) puts the sword-and-sorcery strip Blackhawk front and centre, with cover art by Massimo Belardinelli depicting a warrior in Roman-style armour squaring off against a towering, multi-limbed creature — all snapping jaws, armoured carapace, and writhing tentacles — billed as the Great Beast of Silversun.
