2000 AD and Starlord #122

A chunky, battle-scarred mech dominates Kevin O'Neill's cover for this July 1979 prog, rendered in vivid reds, blues, and greens as it powers through a smoky, conflict-torn sky alongside other warring vehicles. The bold masthead proclaims "We're No.1 Across the Universe!" — and with strips including A.B.C. Warriors, Dan Dare, and the final part of the collectible booklet plus an interactive Robot Game tucked inside, it's hard to argue the point.
