2000 AD #825

This 1993 edition of 2000 AD Prog 825 announces Bradley's return with a cover that's equal parts unsettling and darkly playful — Greg Staples renders a grotesque, antenna-crowned creature lounging in a striped armchair, absorbed in a large book, while a wide-eyed figure below clutches a yin-yang rattle and stares up with an expression of pure unease. Staples handles pencils, inks, and colors throughout, and the result is a richly textured piece that perfectly captures the off-kilter menace the anthology does so well. "Are you sitting uncomfortably?" the cover teases — with imagery this wonderfully weird, the answer is almost certainly yes.
