Prog 727 kicks off "Emerald Isle," sending Judge Dredd across the Atlantic for what the cover promises will be a meeting with some distinctly Irish lawmen. Steve Dillon's cover art places a scowling, gun-toting Dredd back-to-back with a more relaxed Irish Judge — white-and-green uniformed, pint of stout in hand — against a vivid green silhouette of the island of Ireland. It's a wonderfully dry visual gag, and with Garth Ennis writing and Dillon on interior art as well, this 1991 prog has a creative team firing on all cylinders.
