Prog 481 of 2000 AD arrives in August 1986 fresh from an Eagle Awards win — and the cover by Robin Smith makes the most of it, depicting a stern green-skinned editor figure flanked by a wide-eyed robot and a dishevelled, bearded companion, barking "The celebration's over! Back to work!" It's a playful, self-aware gag that captures the comic's irreverent personality perfectly.
