Prog 413 of 2000 AD (13 April 1985) promises fiery mayhem with its bold cover tagline — "The hunt is on for Halo's bones!" — and a striking image of a massive, snarling mechanical dog engulfed in flames, its glowing red eyes radiating menace as it bears down on the viewer. Ian Gibson's cover art gives this "Hot Digital Dog" a genuinely intimidating presence, all angular armour plating and roaring fire. With Alan Moore writing and Gibson on art duties inside, this spring 1985 prog is a compelling chapter in one of British comics' most inventive weekly anthologies.
