Prog 409 of 2000 AD hits hard with a Steve Dillon cover that puts Judge Dredd front and centre, gun raised and bellowing "You're under arrest!" as a crowd of panicked, wide-eyed suspects scrambles around him — one nervously muttering that he's been pegged as a mutie, another worried about the Hunters Club. The tagline "Mega-City One: City of 400 Million Guilty Secrets!" sets the mood perfectly for an issue featuring Alan Moore and Ian Gibson's "By Royal Appointment, Part 4." A fine 1985 slice of British comics at their most energetic.
