This April 1983 prog of 2000 AD features a tense cover by Ian Gibson, showing a grim-faced Robo-Hunter bound and surrounded by a swarm of cackling green Teeny-Meks, while a menacing villain looms behind him with the taunt "Meet my metal assassins, Robo-Hunter!" The chaos of tiny robots firing at close range gives the scene a wonderfully frantic energy that's hard to resist. With Grant, Grover, and Gibson bringing "The Slaying of Slade, Part 3" to life, this is a fine example of the irreverent sci-fi action that made 2000 AD such a vital part of early '80s British comics.
