Judge Dredd has never looked quite so much like a reluctant department-store Santa — seated on a leather armchair beneath a decorated Christmas tree, a sack labelled "CONFISCATED" bulging with toys at his boots, while a small girl clutching a doll faces him and a queue of anxious children looks on from behind. A sign overhead reads "Seasonal Compliance Zone — Surrender All Illegal Gifts," and Dredd's speech bubble makes his seasonal mood perfectly clear: "So, juve… what contraband are you bringing me this Christmas?" Greg Staples' cover art sets a wonderfully deadpan festive tone for this 100-page Zarjaz Mega-Special (prog 2463), which also features "Mikmak's Big Mega-City Adventure!" from writer Alex de Campi and artist/inker Neil Edwards, with colors by Matt Soffe and letters by Rob Steen.
