2000 AD #2221

Prog 2221 of the UK's long-running anthology series finds Judge Dredd in typically no-nonsense form — armored up, Lawgiver in hand, and holding what appears to be a rather suspicious baked good against a vivid orange-skied Mega-City One backdrop. The cover tagline "Taking the Biscuit!" promises the Judge is opening a case into the killing of Captain Cookies, which is exactly the kind of delightfully absurd premise that makes 2000 AD such a joy. Dystopian law enforcement and dodgy confectionery rarely collide with this much flair.
