2000 AD #2087

Two armored Dark Judges hold massive chains leashing a pair of grotesque, skeletal creature-hounds — one with a bare skull for a head, the other a raw, snarling mass of exposed flesh — as the tagline promises that "the Dark Judges sniff out survivors as Deadworld falls." It's a wonderfully grim image that captures the bleak, relentless menace 2000 AD does so well, rendered with sharp, energetic linework. If you're a fan of the Dark Judges' particular brand of dread, Prog 2087 is a treat.
