The cover of Prog 1711 puts Judge Dredd in a genuinely unsettling spotlight — armored, bound with rope, and surrounded on all sides by a dense mass of bizarre, colorful alien organisms that seem almost ready to swallow him whole. Edmund Bagwell's cover art crackles with dark wit, and the tagline "Justice Is Served — Will Dredd Be the Dish of the Day?" sets up the tension beautifully. As the 2010 Eagle Award winner for Favourite British Colour Comic, 2000 AD is clearly firing on all cylinders with this anthology prog.
