2000 AD #1195

Prog 1195 of Britain's self-proclaimed "Best Comic" puts Strontium Dog front and centre, and the cover — pencilled and inked by Jason Brashill — delivers on that promise with raw energy: a grimacing, armour-clad Johnny Alpha charges forward, both guns blazing with searing blasts of light against a dark, gritty backdrop. The tagline "Back with a Vengeance!" says it all, and the image makes a convincing case. Inside, John Wagner scripts and Jock illustrates — with colours by Gary Caldwell — keeping 2000 AD's Eagle Award-winning streak very much alive in 2000.
