Prog 1087 of 2000 AD makes a bold visual statement right from the cover, where Sean Phillips places two sharply dressed gunmen — one in black, one in red — crouching beneath a towering pair of legs, all attitude and implied danger in service of the headline "The Hitmen and Her!" That's Sinister Dexter, the fan-favourite freelance gun-sharks of Downlode, front and centre for a story teased as "Hand Maid in Downlode." With Anderson also promised inside and a Lost World video competition sweetening the deal, this 1998 prog packs plenty of reasons to part with £1.20.
