Jack Kirby's post-apocalyptic world gets a handsome Spanish-language hardcover treatment in this second volume from ECC Ediciones, collecting more of Kamandi's desperate struggle to survive on a planet ruled by animals. The cover — pencilled by Kirby and inked by D. Bruce Berry — captures the raw energy perfectly: Kamandi and a white-haired ape companion brace themselves with a heavy pole against a terrifying assault of open-jawed sharks surging from the churning water around them. It's a vivid reminder of why Kirby's wild, fearless imagination made this series so compelling, and this 2019 edition presents it all with the care it deserves.
