This volume of Munsey's Magazine (October 1921–January 1922) contained multiple serial narratives spanning genres. Major serials included Elisabeth Sanxay Holding's "Angelica," a mystery involving crime and investigation; E. J. Ratz's "The Dark Chapter"; Edwin L. Sabin's "Desert Dust," an adventure tale; Ernest Perochon's "Madeleine"; Octavus Roy Cohen's "Midnight"; Lee Thayer's detective serial "The Stonehill Mystery"; and Emilie Lorind's "Trail of Conflict." Complete novelettes featured crime and domestic drama, including George C. Shedd's "Fire on the Hearth" and H. Bedford-Jones's "Treasure Voyage." Numerous short stories addressed varied themes: George Allan England contributed "Drops of Death" and "Paid in Advance"; Conrad Richter's "The Cheerful Liar" and other works explored character studies. Domestic comedies, adventure tales, and crime narratives predominated throughout.
