Eshbach's "The Gray Plague" centers on a maimed captive in an interplanetary meteor-craft who may save plague-stricken Earth. Ray Cummings concludes "Jetta of the Lowlands," involving invisible aircraft and ransom. Harl Vincent's complete novelette "Vagabonds of Space" concerns space travelers Carr and a Martian encountering warnings from the Sargasso Sea of Space.
