New Worlds No. 58 (April 1957) This science fiction monthly features five short stories and the second part of a three-part serial. "To Kill or Cure" by James White concerns a Royal Navy medical officer (Lieut-Commander Terrins) on a search-and-rescue helicopter who discovers an aircraft wreck in the Irish mountains—but the recovery operation itself crashes. "The Humanitarian" by Dan Morgan follows. "Out of Order" by John Brunner and "Point of Contact" by John Kippax round out the shorter fiction. Brian W. Aldiss contributes "Oh, Ishrael!" The serial is Kenneth Bulmer's "Green Destiny" (part two). Kenneth Johns provides an article, "Galaxies Galore." The issue includes editorial comment by John Carnell, book reviews by Leslie Flood, and coverage of the upcoming 15th World Science Fiction Convention scheduled for London in September 1957.
