This bi-monthly British science fiction magazine features four short stories and one novelette. "Decision Deferred" by David S. Gardner depicts a future society where immortality is enforced by the State. Mark Levere requests a "Life Release" from Minister Schofield, arguing that immortal existence has produced cultural decay rather than progress—laboratories abandoned, space exploration halted, the population fractured into hedonistic cults (Effeminists, Hunters, Masochists, Exhibitionists). Schofield, an effete Transitionalist bureaucrat, dismisses Levere's twenty-year despair as insincere and unconvincing. Other contents include Robert A. Heinlein's "Rebellion on the Moon," stories by Bob Shaw, Jonathan Burke, and Brian W. Aldiss, plus columns on science fiction film news and readers' letters.
