Deegan (26,500 words) features pilot Joe Dobson navigating dangers in the frozen North. "No Holds Barred" by Alexander Blade (11,400 words) depicts wrestlers Jim and Benjy combining brains with brawn. "Cavern's End" by C. A. Baldwin (19,000 words) concerns a ship's stoker who is also a doctor, with character Jean, set in the South Pacific pre-war. "Panama Adder" by H. B. Hickey (36,000 words), the cover story, follows Mason confronting Blackwell in Central American jungle.
