This issue contains three science fiction stories, a novelet, and departments. Milton Lesser's "My Sweetheart's the Man in the Moon" follows Jeanne Peterson, fiancée of Captain Tom Bentley, the first man to reach Earth's moon. When a reporter named Dan Lubrano interviews her, he recognizes commercial potential in her newfound celebrity status and proposes they capitalize on her connection to the historic achievement through public relations work, promising financial gain. Isaac Asimov contributes "Jokester," and Edward Wellen provides the short novel "The Superstition-Seeders" (featured on the cover). James Blish's "Detour to the Stars" appears as a novelet. Additional stories include Allen K. Lang's "Underground Movement," Richard Wilson's "The Sons of Japheth," and others. Regular departments include "Fanfare," "Infinity's Choice" (book reviews by Damon Knight), and "Feedback" from readers.
Each page has its own page — the cartoon, who’s in it, and what the satire means.
