This July 1957 issue of Imaginative Tales presents six science fiction stories and serials. The lead feature is Edmond Hamilton's complete 20,000-word novel "World of Never-Men," set on Mars and following Colin Barker, an Earthman living on the planet, who is approached by his old friend Arrik with a dangerous mystery. Arrik claims to have encountered three mysterious men in a mountain pass who rescued him from a yellow windstorm with inhuman ease, leading others to believe they are androids—artificial men created by an ancient Martian civilization. This discovery makes Arrik a hunted man. The issue also contains five shorter stories: Robert Moore Williams' "The Red Rash Deaths," Randall Garrett's "Devil's World," Ralph Burke's "Hot Trip for Venus," Ivar Jorgensen's "Pirates of the Void," and Robert Silverberg's "The Assassin." Supplementary sections include editorial commentary on space travel developments, articles on flying saucers and mathematics, and reader correspondence.
