This volume of The Argosy magazine (December 1897–March 1898) contains mixed fiction. Complete novels include "The Secret of Wyvern Towers" by T. W. Speight, concerning Felix Drelincourt and the murder of his wife Kate; "Ho for the Klondike!" by Latham C. Carleton, about the gold rush; "A Fiery Vengeance" by W. Bert Foster; and "Cochita's Last Raid" by Lieut. R. H. Jayne. Serial stories feature "God's Prisoner" by John Oxenham, "The Phantom Army" by Max Pemberton, "With Cossack and Convict" by William Murray Graydon, and others.
