Complete novels include The Fetters of Ignacio by Henry Harrison Lewis, set in the Philippine Islands following a shipwreck; The Queen's Body Guard by Douglas Zabriske Doty; The Captain of the Burgher Guards by John P. Ritter; and The Gold Hunters of the Mountain Star by Captain R. M. Hawthorne. Serial narratives span several issues, including A Dash for a Throne by Arthur W. Marchmont, In Perilous Ways by William W. Russ, The Hermit's Secret by Oliver Optic, A Queen of Atlantis by Frank Aubrey, and The Brotherhood of Silence by Frederic V. R. Dey. The volume also features approximately twenty short stories by various authors and numerous poems. The OCR text is largely fragmentary beyond identifying publication metadata and the comprehensive index.
Each page has its own page — the cartoon, who’s in it, and what the satire means.
