The opening story, "Four Dimensional Robberies" by Bob Olsen, concerns the theft of over a billion dollars in bonds from supposedly impenetrable safe deposit boxes across the United States. The narrator, who previously constructed the "Hyper-Forceps"—a device enabling four-dimensional manipulation to remove objects from sealed containers without damage—becomes involved investigating these extraordinary thefts. The mechanism allows retrieval of items through the fourth dimension, originally designed for medical applications. The narrative promises exploration of how this technology enables unprecedented crime. Additional fiction includes "The Octopus Cycle" by Edwin Lester and Fletcher Pratt, "Dr. Brittlestone's Method" by Samuel M. Sanjust Jr., and a reprint of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Thousand-and-Second Tale of Scheherazade." H.G. Wells's A Story of the Days to Come continues as a serial, alongside "Baron Munchhausen's Scientific Adventures" by Hugo Gernsback exploring Martian cities, and Francis Flagg's "The Master Ants."
