When he was asked why he had interfered, he replied that he was challeng- ing their ‘lazy attitude.’ Those were his exact words.” “Remarkable!” signalled a mind which was _ not Dakers’. The two masters sprang to attention. The Head had suddenly materialised in the study, translating himself into his Alpha frequency, un- announced and uninvited.
