She threw the covers back and slipped to the floor. “You must have something to eat before you go—lI’ll get something for you.” She slid her feet into slippers, and ran out to the tiny kitchen, snatch- ing up a wrap as she went. Dinton found Revilstone talking to a quiet, gentle- mannered individual who turned out to be Inspector Benner. “This is terrible—of course, it would happen in our depart- ment—Mr. Quillon is on his way in; I ’phoned for him, too.
