46 Paddling Under Palmettos. “Shall I take you in tow?” he asked. “Not if I even have to steer with a paddle; but I think I can lay back and hold the yoke until this run is out.” t It had been a bad time for an accident, as the easterly breeze and the morning tide made the sea heavy.
