Paddling Under Palmettos. 31 livelong night on the waves as the wind caught the bow-end of the tents. They swung a little, and it was determined that before they went to sleep each should throw out from the stern a little Chester folding anchor, two of which were a part of the complement of each boat. Archie slept fairly well considering the novelty of his position, for although not much of a canoe cruiser he had hunted and fished in many States, and roamed the wilds of Canada, camping out many a time, that these things were not new to him.
