She looked just as usual, perhaps a trifle pate, and as Guy took her hand she opened her eyes and smiled—the faintest flicker of a smile. ‘*T am glad you are here, Guy,” she said, ‘‘ so you can see for yourself that it is nothing so serious as it might have been. I was afraid they would frighten you.” ‘‘And you are not in pain?” asked Guy, softly. ‘‘No, my boy; nothing is broken. It was only the shock. I shall be all right presently.
