The feature novelette, "Kathie Rides Alone" by Bill Severn, concerns Kathie's conflict with her fiancé Rusty over women's suffrage in a school election in Tyler—she insists on voting rights and intellectual equality in marriage despite community expectations. Other complete stories include "Captain Cupid Pulls His Rank" by Ennen Reaves Hall (about Lee McAllen unable to control Melanie in Indian territory), "Honeymoon Holdup" by Larry Donovan (Libby's westward journey to marry Arthur), "Honky-Tonk Songbird" by Mary Marsh Brown, "Rodeo Rainbow" by Nellie Lawson, "They Come Home to Roost" by Cliff Farrell (Penny seeks revenge on Larry's uncle), "Teacher's Pet" by Steven Edward, and "Trouble in Indian Valley" by William Raynor.
