This is Volume IX's index to a general-interest magazine featuring diverse nonfiction and fiction content. The special articles section includes biographical profiles (Collis P. Huntington, Leland Stanford, Philip D. Armour, Thomas Brackett Reed), art and architecture pieces (French Palaces, Famous English Houses, Modern Sculptors), historical topics (Dramatic Scenes in American History, Massacre of La Caroline, Mystery of Casper Hauser), and miscellaneous subjects (Chinese Festivals, Honey Bees and Honey, Modern Astronomy, Tammany Hall).
