# Astounding Stories of Super-Science, January 1931
This issue features five science fiction stories and serials. "The Dark Side of Antri" by Sewell Peaslee Wright presents Commander John Hanson's interplanetary adventure with the Special Patrol. "Sunken Empire" by H. Thompson Rich recounts Professor Stevens' encounters with the Antillians in the Sargasso Sea. Hal K. Wells' "The Gate to Xoran" describes a mysterious metal man arriving on Earth with an ominous purpose. C. D. Willard's "Eye of Allah" involves a Secret Service agent in the President's Chair on September 7th facing revelations from Allah's perspective. Murray Leinster's complete novelette "Fifth-Dimension Catapult" depicts Tommy Reames rescuing Professor Denham and his daughter from the Fifth Dimension. Charles W. Diffin contributes part three of "Pirate Planet," following two American representatives on Venus attempting to neutralize a massive weapon. The issue also includes a readers' section.
