This March 1895 issue of The Argos contains Chapter IX of the serialized novel "When Leaves Were Green" by Sydney Hopcks, a romantic narrative centered on portrait painter Glyn Beverley. The chapter depicts the aftermath of a riding accident involving Captain D'Eyncourt, whose horse Kitty bolts during a country excursion.
