The mystery deepens when three bodyguards accompany Cleo, and she hints at unspecified dangers. Bradley, conflicted about his feelings for Cleo and suspicious of Coleman's true nature, must decide whether to accept.

The issue also contains the novel "The Conduit" by Noel Loomis, involving a protagonist named Tommy Distal struggling with an extended period of mortality and displacement, complicated by extraterrestrial invaders.
