Scott's reluctant partner is John Galt, a Jovian colonist of superhuman strength grown under Jupiter's high gravity, whose initial refusal to cooperate results in his arrest. Nelson Sherwood's "Galactic Galapagos" depicts colonists battling native fauna and insects on a paradise world facing extinction. Arthur Sellings' "The Tycoons" concerns alien operatives manufacturing dancing dolls while orchestrating Earth's takeover. George Chailey contributes the bonus story "Death of a Telepath." Editor John Carnell's introduction notes the magazine continues independently after the American edition ceased publication, featuring new British and Commonwealth writers.
