Real Western Romances

Β· December 1950

This December 1950 issue of Real Western Romances contains three feature novelets and one romantic novel. "Gun Rifle Dude" by T. C. McClary follows Pete Giller, a despised Yankee believed lazy and cowardly, whom only Sarah Crooswaite believes in. "Trouble at Triangle" by Roe Richmond centers on Alma Winslow, drawn romantically to outlaw leader Duke Emberly when his gang hides at the Triangle ranch. "Sad Tramp" by E. Hoffmann Price features Bill Jordan, who must stay silent while old man Gregg faces conviction for a killing Jordan actually committed in self-defense. The romantic novel "Homesteader" by J. J. Mathews depicts Bud Grayson returning to lead homesteaders' rights fight while falling in love with Neva McKinney, daughter of the range baron he opposes. Two short stories complete the issue: "Rustler's Darling" by H. C. Eaton and "Heartbreak Trail" by Cliff Campbell. The magazine includes a pen-pal correspondence section.
