New Worlds Science Fiction, No. 79 (January 1959)

This issue features five short stories and part two of a serial. "Insecurity Risk" by Dan Morgan combines mystery and detection using Asimov's three laws of robotics in a tale set at the Cardington Atomic Power Station, where site manager Fenton summons union organizer Curtis to address worker unrest following an accident involving three experimental humanoid robots. Also included are stories by Brian W. Aldiss ("The Unbeaten Track"), Arthur Sellings ("For the Colour of His Hair"), Robert Silverberg ("In Gratitude"), and George Whitley ("The Right Ingredients"). The serial "A Man Called Destiny" by Lan Wright continues, with the author providing commentary on the advantages of novel-length storytelling over short fiction. An article titled "Outward Bound" (part 4) and editorial content examining 1958 science fiction publishing trends round out the issue.
