# New Worlds (September 1958) — Issue Contents
This issue features five science fiction stories spanning different lengths and genres. The lead serial is "Equator" Part One by Brian W. Aldiss, which establishes an unconventional first-contact scenario: Earth peacefully offers sanctuary to inhabitants of a generation starship seeking a habitable world, exploring whether human-alien coexistence is possible.
John Wyndham's novelette "Space Is A Province of Brazil" appears as the issue's extended fiction. Three shorter works round out the fiction content: "Morgan's Galatea" by Clifford C. Reed, "Trainee for Mars" by Harry Harrison, and "Life Hutch" by Harlan Ellison.
