This issue of Mammoth Adventure (July 1947) features five complete adventure stories spanning historical and contemporary settings. Berkeley Livingston's novel "Uranium Started in Chicago" tracks Nazi activities in South America centered on uranium procurement. Lester Barclay contributes "Andean Adventure," involving a lost aircraft and a woman named Maria Cordoba in the Andes. Richard S. Shaver's novelette "The Princess and the Renegade" concerns Gonzalo Guerrero, a renegade and soldier under Cortez in sixteenth-century Central America.
