This issue of Detective Story Magazine (July 28, 1923) contains four serials in progress: "House of Rogues" by Christopher B. Booth (part one), concerning counterfeiters at a mysterious headquarters; "Gems of Ill Omen" by Douglas Grey (part two); "The Safety Pin" by J. S. Fletcher (part five); and "The Glass Dagger" by Arthur Mallory (concluding part). The issue also features several shorter pieces: "Ten Jumps Ahead" by Paul Ellsworth Triem, "Keep Off the Grass" by Kenneth Duane Whipple, "Jerry, the Boaster" (complete novel) by Harrington Strong, "Not According to Text" by Charles G. Booth, plus articles on criminal history and methodology. An upcoming serial, "The Crime at Red Towers" by Chester K. Steele, begins next issue.
