# "Fraude con la Muerte" (Fraud with Death) by Peter Kapra

This science fiction serial depicts a clandestine operation to resurrect a deceased general. Two operatives, Heem and Pitcholy, infiltrate Buckham Cemetery using infrared vision equipment and silent vehicles to steal the corpse of General Len Djinsky from his lead casket, using a powered cutting tool to breach the sealed tomb. They deliver the body to an underground laboratory in the Nevada desert run by exiled scientist Dr. Dimitrio Spask, assisted by his young protégée Dinik Lirkay and a team including Berkly, Orville, and Emerson. The narrative establishes that Spask has already successfully revived the poisoned Heem through hibernation and medical intervention. Now they attempt to resurrect Djinsky using electronic medical technology—magnetic impulses to the brain, cardiac reactivation, and plasma infusions—under the secret patronage of the ultra-wealthy businessman Hermann Bergerett, who fears death and has funded the illegal operation despite laws prohibiting such intervention in a future world of population controls.
