# "Agujón Mortífero" (The Deadly Sting)

This Spanish-language horror story by Joseph Berna follows Professor Albert Fresson, a fifty-year-old biologist conducting experiments near Paris. Fresson has developed a yellow substance designed to enlarge scorpions dramatically. After initial failures, he doubles the dosage on a captive scorpion, which escapes while Fresson is on break. The creature discovers the spilled drug and absorbs it entirely, growing to monstrous proportions with heightened aggression and strength. In a parallel narrative, young painter Michel Dablon receives a visit from Nicole Bouquet, an aspiring model seeking to pose for his paintings. The story transitions between Fresson's laboratory crisis and Dablon's studio encounter with the attractive Nicole. The narrative breaks off as the enlarged, drug-infused scorpion becomes the central threat.
