This 1976 Spanish-language pulp horror serial, La Bahía del Horror (Bay of Horror) by Joseph Berna, follows six young Californians—wealthy Kenyon Waddell and his friends Burt Simmons and Norman Heflin, accompanied by women Esther Collins, Ursula Morris, and Fedra Bloom—who set sail aboard Waddell's yacht the Mary Ann for a pleasure cruise. They anchor in a remote, isolated cove near San Francisco that Waddell knows well. After swimming ashore and engaging in flirtatious horseplay on the beach, Esther discovers a human femur buried in the sand. The discovery signals the beginning of what the narrative promises will become "an authentic nightmare of terror, horror...and death." The text emphasizes the group's youth, physical attractiveness, and amorous entanglements before introducing the sinister element that will drive the horror plot forward.
