This issue of Selección Terror (no. 398, October 1980) presents "Terror en el Lago Negro" by Joseph Berna, a supernatural horror novella. They report the incident to Lieutenant Magnusson of the Portland police, who arranges for overnight surveillance and morning dredging of the lake. The narrative establishes mystery surrounding what inhabits Black Lake—whether human predator or something else remains ambiguous as the story continues.
