Silver Kane's "Un Abrigo de Piel de Hiena" (A Hyena-Skin Coat), issue 316 of the Selección Terror collection, is a supernatural horror serial. The narrative opens at a mansion where widow Nancy grieves her deceased husband Peter during a violent storm. When a companion discovers Peter's reflection missing from the mirror above his coffin, the body itself vanishes. The story shifts to a small hotel in Kent where a desperate young woman named Silvia arrives, demanding a secure room and warning the proprietor Jim that a man named Peter will arrive seeking her—a man she fears despite his death. Peter soon appears, presenting Jim with a death certificate, his ghostly pallor suggesting something beyond the merely mortal. The narrative establishes an atmosphere of Gothic dread, with the storm as backdrop to supernatural pursuits and hauntings.
