Law Space: La nueva humanidad

· 1984

This Spanish-language science fiction serial, "La Nueva Humanidad" (The New Humanity) by Law Space, depicts the final planetary exploration of the spacecraft Audaz. After a decade visiting Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, and other planets, Captain Patrick Gardner and his three-man crew approach Venus for their last survey before returning to Earth. They have discovered only elementary life forms—peculiar snails from Jupiter, tiny slug-like creatures, and minimal flora—disappointing the crew who expected advanced civilizations. While Gardner remains aboard calculating their departure orbit, Thomas, James, and Cowler descend into Venus's dense fog in space suits to explore a small valley. Gardner receives an increasingly distressed radio transmission from Thomas, who reports that James and Cowler have died and urges Gardner to leave immediately. The narrative breaks off mid-sentence during Gardner's desperate questioning.
