# Infiltrados by Ralph Barby (1982)
This Spanish science fiction serial follows Pau Guaita, sole survivor of a space plague aboard the starship Serp-82, orbiting planet Humus-14. Four crew members have died from an unidentified viral disease; Guaita alone remains immune, uncertain why. Accompanied only by Mister, a Boix CLX android, Guaita struggles with isolation, passing time with three-dimensional entertainment recordings before executing "Operation Jupiter-Geo-Sophia"βa secret planetary terraforming program.
Guaita manually launches ninety-six nuclear missiles at Humus-14, triggering catastrophic geological upheaval: frozen oceans melt, mountains crumble, temperatures surge. A system malfunction prevents the final missile salvo. The bombardment generates planetary-scale electrical storms across the warming atmosphere, initiating dramatic atmospheric transformation. The narrative emphasizes technical detail, Guaita's psychological strain, and the violent mechanistic reshaping of a barren world through thermonuclear intervention.
