This June 1923 issue of The Blue Book Magazine contains thirteen short stories and two novelettes alongside a serial. The main feature is "The Great Marquenmore Problem," a mystery novel by J. S. Fletcher (continuing from a previous installment).
Other notable stories include Frank Parker Stockbridge's "The Buried Alive Club," the opening installment of a series about young scientists conducting secret government work; William F. Sturm's "The Better Man Wins," a motor-race narrative; Charles King Van Riper's "The Blue Lightning," concerning a famous diamond; and Lemuel L. De Bra's "The Ruby of Red Betrayal," depicting opium trafficking.
Additional contributions come from established writers: George F. Worts ("The Panther of One Claw," a tropical adventure), Clarence Herbert New ("Free Lances in Diplomacy," featuring espionage), Ellis Parker Butler ("Blackmail Broadcast, Unlimited," a detective story involving sky-writing), and others. Two novelettes—Rex Vancil Bixby's "Adrift" (aviation adventure) and Carl Clausen's "The Flaw" (crime story)—round out the issue.
